Taylor Swift has another reason to celebrate. Her hit song 'Opalite' has officially reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and she marked the moment in the most Taylor way possible—by taking fans behind the scenes.
The 36-year-old pop icon shared a collection of personal photos and candid videos from the making of the chart-topping track. Among the highlights was a makeup-free clip straight from the recording studio, giving fans a rare, unfiltered glimpse of Swift fully in her element.
Taylor Swift's Instagram Post
In an Instagram post shared on 23rd February, Swift gave fans a closer look at the creative process behind the song. She wrote that she was sharing a few 'Opalite' memories to celebrate the Hot 100 No. 1 that fans helped the song achieve. She said she couldn't fully express her excitement and felt overwhelmed by the love shown to both the song and its music video.
Taylor Swift also pointed out that this marks only the second time in her career that two songs from the same album have reached No. 1 on the Hot 100. The last time it happened was with her 2014 album '1989.' She added that while there were a lot of numbers involved, what mattered most to her was how grateful she felt toward fans for embracing the song so warmly. She said she was seriously bouncing off the walls over the news.

Taylor Swift's No-Makeup Clip
The post opens with a natural, makeup-free video of Swift in the studio alongside producer Max Martin as they work on 'Opalite.' Wearing her natural blonde curls, she appears relaxed and fully immersed in the moment. Other clips show her on the music video set, including scenes where she wears a brown wig and an '80s-inspired outfit for the shoot.
In one costume video, Swift says she has never felt more like herself and that this is who she was meant to be.
Additional photos and videos capture her recording vocals and celebrating the song’s success with Martin, 54, and Shellback, who also worked on her 12th studio album.

Taylor Swift, who wrote and directed the 'Opalite' music video, previously shared that the concept suddenly crash landed into her imagination while she was promoting 'The Life of a Showgirl' on The Graham Norton Show in October 2025.
She recalled feeling incredibly lucky about the group she was paired with for the project. The cast included Cillian Murphy, Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith and Lewis Capaldi—artists whose work she said she had long admired from afar.
