Teyana Taylor is still soaking in the moment after her major Golden Globe win.
The 'One Battle After Another' star took home the award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards recently. Moments after delivering an emotional acceptance speech, Taylor spoke about why the win felt especially meaningful to her.
The 35-year-old reflected on her long journey in the industry, sharing that she has been working since she was just 15 years old. For her, the moment felt like a reminder that the challenges she's faced were never setbacks, but preparation for something greater. Seeing her name engraved on the award was overwhelming and almost surreal.
Still visibly emotional backstage, Taylor admitted she was in shock and filled with gratitude. She said the experience left her incredibly happy and thankful, adding that she does not take any part of this recognition for granted.

While accepting the award onstage, Taylor tearfully thanked her parents and her close circle of loved ones, describing them as the grounding force that has kept her steady throughout her career.
She also expressed deep appreciation for writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson, praising his vision, trust, and creative brilliance. Taylor shared how grateful she was to be given the space to fully show up for her role, along with the rest of the cast.
Toward the end of her speech, Teyana Taylor delivered a powerful message to women of colour and young girls watching at home. She spoke about the importance of softness, depth, and self-worth, reminding them that their light doesn't need permission to shine, their voices matter, and their dreams deserve room to grow.
