Timothee Chalamet and Odessa A'zion kick things off with high energy in the opening scene of 'Marty Supreme,' immediately setting a bold and unpredictable tone.

In an exclusive clip, A'zion's character Rachel shows up at a shoe store in 1952 New York City, where Chalamet's Marty Mauser works. She pretends to be a recent customer with a question, but it quickly becomes clear she's there for a secret and passionate encounter with Marty.

This moment hints at the challenges ahead for Marty as he chases his unlikely dream of becoming a world-class table tennis player. His journey includes scraping together money to travel to international tournaments while navigating a complicated romance with Rachel.

About 'Marty Supreme'

The film stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Kevin O'Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher. According to A24, the story follows a young man whose dreams are dismissed by everyone around him, forcing him to push himself to extremes in his pursuit of greatness.

A'zion, who also appears in the HBO series 'I Love LA,' recently praised Chalamet during an interview on 'The Drew Barrymore Show.' She described him as an incredible scene partner, highlighting his strength in improvisation and how much they pushed each other creatively on set. She added that working with him in person was just as impressive as seeing his performance come together on screen.

'Marty Supreme' marks Chalamet's first film role since portraying Bob Dylan in 'A Complete Unknown.' His performance has already earned award recognition, including nominations at the upcoming Golden Globe and Critics' Choice Awards. The film itself has picked up multiple nominations as well.

'Marty Supreme' arrives in theatres on 25th December.
