TLC Takes Home Landmark Award, Performs ‘No Scrubs’ and ‘Waterfalls’ at iHeartRadio Awards 2024

’90s group TLC, known for their iconic hits and lasting influence on the music scene, made a triumphant return to the spotlight at the recent iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles. Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas and Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins, both revered figures in the music industry took the stage to accept a well-deserved award following a nostalgic and electrifying performance of their chart-topping tracks ‘No Scrubs’ and ‘Waterfalls’.

Dressed in coordinated fringe outfits that exuded their signature style, Thomas and Watkins were accompanied by a dynamic ensemble of backup dancers, adding an extra layer of energy and excitement to their performance.

During their performance of ‘Waterfalls’, TLC paid tribute to their late band member Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes, who tragically passed away in a car accident. Rapper Latto joined the duo onstage, delivering an impressive rendition of Lopes’ verse and seamlessly integrating her contribution into the iconic song.

Despite the loss of Lopes, TLC continued to make music as a duo and achieved significant success, including four Grammy wins and the release of five studio albums. Their most recent album, self-titled TLC, with Thomas and Watkins announcing it as their final record at the time.

However, the group has kept their legacy alive through various tours, including the ‘Celebration of CrazySexyCool’ tour, which commemorated their groundbreaking album reaching diamond status as the first by a girl group.

TLC has also collaborated with artists like Nelly and Shaggy, showcasing their enduring relevance and impact on contemporary music.
