Tom Ackerley Says He Spends The Whole Day With Margot Robbie

Tom Ackerley is smitten with Margot Robbie! The British film producer couldn’t stop gushing about his wife of seven years during Robbie’s recent interview with The Sunday Times. Ackerley revealed that the couple spends “24 hours a day” together, showing just how intertwined their lives are.

“It’s seamless,” Ackerley remarked when asked about balancing their professional and personal lives. “We don’t have a toggle on, toggle off. It’s all become one thing.” He even joked about feeling like an honorary Australian, while Margot feels like an honorary Brit. The only thing they bicker about is whether Tim Tams or Penguins are better – a nod to their respective home countries’ favourite snacks. He also jested that he wished there was more of a sporting rivalry between Australia and England.

Robbie, on the other hand, talked about her new gin brand, Papa Salt, which she launched recently with Ackerley and three friends. She mentioned how different it is from the film industry, describing the movie business as “selling an idea,” whereas with her gin brand, it’s more straightforward. “You have no idea how much it’s going to make, who’s going to see it, if they’ll see it or how it will be received,” she explained about films.

“This feels a lot more straightforward, it’s easier to predict things. You can lay this out on a spreadsheet in a way that you can’t lay out a movie idea.”

Despite their busy careers, the couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony on Australia’s Gold Coast in December 2016, maintain a relatively private personal life. However, they have made appearances at recent events together.
