'Toy Story 5' Trailer Reveals Woody, Buzz and Jessie's High-Tech Adventure

'Toy Story 5' is bringing back some familiar voices, with Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack returning as Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie.

Pixar released the film's full trailer on 19th February, offering fans a first look at the latest adventure. This time, Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the rest of the gang face a new kind of challenge when a high-tech toy enters Bonnie's room. Lilypad, the newest addition to the film, is a frog-shaped smart tablet voiced by Greta Lee.

Story of 'Toy Story 5'

The story centres on how the classic toys struggle to adapt when Lilypad arrives with strong opinions about what is best for Bonnie. As technology begins to reshape playtime, the toys must figure out where they fit in a fast-changing world.

The cast also features Conan O'Brien as a toilet-training tech toy named Smarty Pants. Tony Hale returns as Forky, the character first introduced in 'Toy Story 4.'

New Arrivals in 'Toy Story 5'

Several new characters join the franchise, including Atlas the GPS hippo, voiced by Craig Robinson, Snappy the camera toy, voiced by Shelby Rabara, and additional roles played by Scarlett Spears, Mykal-Michelle Haris and Matty Matheson.

Longtime franchise favourites are also back, including John Ratzenberger as Hamm, Wallace Shawn as Rex, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, Annie Potts as Bo Peep, Bonnie Hunt as Dolly, Kristen Schaal as Trixie, Ernie Hudson as Combat Carl and Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom.

The film is written by Andrew Stanton, who co-wrote the first two 'Toy Story' films and 'Toy Story 4.' He directs alongside McKenna Harris, known for her work on 'Luca' and 'Elio.'

The directing team has described the project as a heartfelt and humorous look at how beloved classic toys might react to today's technology-driven world.

'Toy Story 5' is set to hit theatres on 19th June.
