Travis Kelce Channels Taylor Swift With Heart Hands Celebration
On the field, Travis Kelce expressed some heartfelt moments.
In the second quarter of the Chiefs-Bills game on 21st January, the tight end scored a touchdown and then crafted a heart shape with his hands, directing it toward his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s suit. Swift, 34, is known for making a similar heart gesture while performing ‘Fearless’ on the Eras Tour, and her fans often use the same gesture.
During this memorable moment, Kelce’s family, including Swift, was seated in the Highmark Stadium suite. The 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs player caught a pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes, marking their 15th postseason touchdown pass together.
Swift, along with Kelce’s mom Donna, dad Ed, and older brother Jason, who enthusiastically removed his shirt and cheered for his sibling after the touchdown, were all part of the celebration. Notably, Cara Delevingne, a friend of the ‘Love Story’ singer and a model actress was also present at Sunday’s game.

In the third quarter, Travis caught another touchdown pass from Mahomes, setting a new record with a remarkable 16 postseason touchdowns together. The Chiefs secured a victory, defeating the Bills 27-24 and earning a spot in the AFC Championship against the Ravens on 28th January. It’s worth noting that Travis is known for his signature point-and-arrow move after scoring, rather than the heart-hands gesture.
On his podcast, ‘New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce,’ called ‘No Dumb Questions,’ he explained that his celebratory pose reflects his mindset of always dreaming big on and off the field.
Kelce often shares one of his favourite quotes, which inspires him to aim for the stars, from NFL legend and current Colorado football coach Deion Sanders: “If your dreams aren’t bigger than you, then there’s a problem with your dreams.”
Taylor Swift has been a regular presence at Chiefs games, starting on 24th September when she first appeared to support her boyfriend at Arrowhead Stadium alongside Donna as Kansas City dominated the Chicago Bears with a 41-10 victory. The Chiefs’ record is now 8-3 with Swift in attendance.
The couple is still really happy together, but they’re taking things as they come. The source mentioned that they are having a lot of fun, providing insight into the relationship that began shortly after Kelce revealed in late July 2023 on his podcast that he had tried to express his interest in Swift after one of her concerts.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has consistently shown his support for the relationship between Kelce and Swift, despite initial concerns among football fans that the singer might be a distraction for the tight end as Kansas City aimed to replicate their 2023 Super Bowl success.
