Travis Kelce Lands Role in Ryan Murphy’s ‘Grotesquerie’

Travis Kelce is ready to make a splash in Hollywood. The Kansas City Chiefs star, recently cast in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming series ‘Grotesquerie’, revealed on his podcast, ‘New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce’, that he is actively seeking more acting opportunities.

Kelce, 34, shared his enthusiasm for expanding his acting career during the podcast’s Wednesday episode. Discussing the recently announced sequel to ‘Happy Gilmore’, Kelce expressed his eagerness to be part of the project. “I’m looking for movie deals,” he said. “I’ll do anything in the movie. I’ll be a part of it any way I possibly can.”

Kelce’s venture into acting began with his role in ‘Grotesquerie’, where he stars alongside Niecy Nash-Betts. ‘PEOPLE News’ confirmed earlier this month that Kelce would join the FX horror drama. He was spotted filming a restaurant scene with Nash-Betts, who humorously noted Kelce’s consumption of meatballs during the shoot.

During the episode of his podcast, Kelce admitted he was “shocked” to receive a call from Ryan Murphy. “It’s been so much fun,” he said, praising Murphy’s talent and the supportive environment on set. “Ryan Murphy is an unbelievable writer, director, producer, all of the above. Everybody’s just been so helpful in making me feel comfortable.”

Kelce, who has no previous acting experience, acknowledged feeling like an amateur but credited the cast and crew for providing the direction and coaching he needed. Details about his character in ‘Grotesquerie’, set to premiere this fall, remain under wraps.

In addition to his role in ‘Grotesquerie’, Kelce is exploring other Hollywood projects. He is set to produce the film ‘My Dead Friend Zoe’ and will host the upcoming Prime game show ‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?’.
