Was Madonna Secretly in a Relationship With Luke Perry?
Tori Spelling recently spilled the beans about a rather unexpected twist in the late Luke Perry’s love life during their time together on the hit show, ‘Beverly Hills, 90210.’ In a chat on her podcast, she let slip that Perry and none other than Madonna had a bit of a clandestine thing going on during the show’s decade-long stint from 1990 to 2000.
In the podcast confessional, Tori reminisced about the time when Perry, sadly no longer with us since 2019, trusted her with the juicy details of his fling with the ‘Material Girl.’ Picture this: Madonna leaving a message on Luke’s answering machine, and Tori feeling like she was part of some major covert operation. She shared on her podcast, “I felt so confided in. ‘Oh, my God, he’s telling me about Madonna.’”
Tori couldn’t help but gush, “I was like, ‘You’re the coolest person in the whole world. One, cause you’re Luke Perry, and two because Madonna wants you.'” When Jennie Garth grilled her about keeping it hush-hush, Tori’s response was a classic, “Jen, we kept these things from you because [that’s something] you would want to hear.”

The Perry-Madonna connection kicked off at an event for the American Foundation for AIDS Research in 1992. Madonna dialled Perry while he was on the ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ set, asking him to present an award at the event. Perry, initially thinking it was a prank, couldn’t resist the allure and agreed. That night, Madonna upped the ante by surprising Perry with a smooch on stage.
As for the duration of their rumoured romance, that’s a bit of a mystery. Perry eventually tied the knot with Rachel Sharp in 1993, merely a year after his supposed liaison with Madonna. The marriage ended in 2003, leaving behind two kids – a 23-year-old daughter named Sophie and a 26-year-old son named Jack.
Fast forward, and the paths of Luke Perry and Madonna diverged, with Perry’s untimely departure and Madonna embracing her role as both a single mother and an enduring figure in the music scene.
