Zack Snyder Shares The One Film He Wishes He Could Change

Zack Snyder, who is known for going back and making longer director’s cuts of his films—most notably, the 2021 ‘Snyder Cut’ of ‘Justice League’—has revealed which movie from his canon he still wishes he could change. Snyder revealed that he is still not entirely happy with another movie in a recent interview with Empire.

“The only movie I would change is ‘Sucker Punch’ because it never really got finished correctly,” said the actor. “The director’s cut isn’t the best version either. Actually, it’s just an enlarged version. I would alter that movie if I had the chance.”

In ‘Sucker Punch’, Emily Browning plays a young lady confined to a mental health facility who, along with her other prisoners, enters fantastical worlds and takes on the persona of legendary fighters.

Snyder clarified that he has been unable to make the adjustments he had hoped to because of legal obstacles about the film’s rights. “I have the footage already shot: they just have to let me put it together,” he said. We occasionally make inquiries. We must reapply. I believe there should be a window of time during which nobody possesses the movie.

Snyder revealed that Warner Bros. changed the original ending because they thought it was “too weird” and last year he indicated interest in creating a director’s version of the movie.

More recently, Snyder expressed his confusion with the unfavourable reception to his 2023 Netflix sci-fi epic ‘Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire’ in response to criticism.

Now that Part Two has been made available, Snyder said, “I don’t really have a response to the reviews. My films have always elicited strong feelings of polarization for whatever reason. It doesn’t seem like there is anything in the film to cause such strong emotions.”In the movies, Sofia Boutella plays a former soldier who, when her farming colony is in danger, mobilizes fighters from other worlds to fight the tyrannical Imperium.

Snyder seemed unmoved by the unfavourable reviews, but Boutella acknowledged that they had a significant effect on her. “I always thought that I was fully armed to take on those punches, and then I read the critics that came down on Rebel Moon and it really affected me,” she admitted.

 “I’ll just be straightforward about it. What affected me is that I feel like I’m carrying it for everyone who cared so much about this endeavour. not how I appear. The movie received negative reviews, but I feel like I’ve been really fortunate and people enjoy my performance in it.”
