Zayn Malik Gets Emotional Watching ‘Bluey’ With Daughter Khai

In a revealing behind-the-scenes glimpse shared by NYLON, Zayn Malik delves into his softer side following a candid interview. The ‘PILLOWTALK’ singer admits to being moved easily, particularly by his 3½-year-old daughter Khai’s TV preferences.

“I’m actually quite sensitive,” shares the 31-year-old musician. “I find myself tearing up often during movies.” When asked about the most recent film to prompt tears, he confesses it was likely a Disney movie, as he often watches them with Khai, his daughter with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid.

“The emotional impact of these films is no joke,” Malik notes. “Disney knows how to tug at the heartstrings.” He specifically mentions a lesser-known cartoon called Bluey as a tearjerker. “It’s for kids, but it gets me every time,” he admits. “The stories are surprisingly deep, with messages that resonate with parents.”

‘Bluey’, an Australian series following the adventures of a young Blue Heeler puppy and her family, has gained massive popularity since its debut in 2018. Malik praises the show’s writers for crafting narratives that resonate with adults as much as children.

Reflecting on his journey into fatherhood, Malik acknowledges the need for self-discovery before committing to a lifelong partnership. Despite their split, he expresses joy in spending time with Khai, relishing moments together at the beach or attending family-friendly events.

As he prepares for the release of his new album, ‘Room Under the Stairs’, on 17th May, Malik embraces his role as a devoted father and finds solace in the quiet moments shared with his daughter.
