2 Chainz Being Dragged By Escobar Family

Here is some news that will tickle your bones. Well, not so much for 2 Chainz who is being sued for $10 million by the Escobar family.

Escobar Inc. is a family estate of late Pablo Escobar who you might remember from the Netflix super hit show ‘Narcos’.

2 Chainz opened up a restaurant called ‘Escobar Restaurant and Tapas‘ in Atlanta which uses the likeness and association of Pablo Escobar without any authorization. The family claims that the likeness of Pablo Escobar is trademarked and this usage goes against that.

This likeness of Escobar is painted in one of the restaurants and the menu has something called ‘Escobar Crab Cakes’ which has caused some hefty stir. The family is claiming that 2 Chainz has done this to boost revenue. The demands of the family are monetary reparations along with immediate injunction to remove Escobar related motifs.

The star who recently collaborated with Lil Wayne on his album ‘Funeral’, has yet to comment on this news piece. Though this is not the first time the restaurant has faced impedance. Earlier this year Georgia state police shut down one of the two restaurants for their non-compliance with lockdown regulations.
