2020 VMAs Performers List Has Been Announced

2020 VMAs is actually happening for real this year, pretty hard to believe. As many events and shows have gotten cancelled due the pandemic, this one has got everyone’s hopes high. The award show will premiere on August 30, 2020 which is a Sunday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Though we are not sure how Covid-19 precautions will impact the show, at least we will see one. As the event is slowly approaching closer, the details about it are being revealed. Last month, we received the list of nominees for the event. And just a few hours ago, we got the performers list via tweets. BTS, CNCO, Doja Cat, J Balvin, Maluma, Roddy Ricch and The Weeknd will be in the house to perform.

The host for the show will be Keke Palmer as these artist will perform. The American actress-singer took to her Instagram to announce the same. While she played double roles in the video clip, she also added a small jam declaring that she’s going to be better than other hosts on the biggest stage of VMAs.

As for the performers, The Weeknd will be hitting the stage after five years and he’s also nominated for 6 VMAs. CNCO were there even at 2019 VMAs and will be back to rock the stage in 2020, as well. Roddy Rich and BTS will give their debut VMAs performance on August 30th. One can also cast their vote for these performers and other artists in order to increase their chances of winning.

2020 VMAs are like the silver lining in a dark cloud. And, we can’t wait to see this first ever major event unfold. Keep your popcorn and sodas ready, be right be, we need to stock up.
