Lady Gaga Has Officially Joined The X-Men
Lady Gaga is officially returning to the silver screen. The star has had a big year, so far. She released her buzzing sixth studio album, “Chromatica”, swept a number of awards at the VMAs and now she’s officially been cast to play an X-Men character.
In the next X-Men franchise, Gaga will play the charming Emma Frost. And if you were wondering, her powers involve telepathy, enhanced strength and the ability to transform her body into organic diamond. Now, you see why Lady Gaga might just be the perfect fit for this role?
Now, while superhero territory might be new to Lady Gaga, it’s certainly not her first acting gig. The star cemented her name in the film industry after her chilling role as a hotel owner, Elizabeth, in the anthology series, American Horror Story: Hotel. She even won a Golden Globe for her performance in the show. But she didn’t rest on her laurels just yet.
In 2018, she played the role of a struggling musician, Ally, opposite Bradley Cooper in ‘A Star Is Born’. The film did exceedingly well and Gaga even scored an Oscar nomination in the Best Actress category for her role.
But this year, there’s more in store for her. Gaga is set to star as Patrizia Reggiani, who was convicted of hiring a hitman to murder her ex-husband and former head of the Gucci fashion house Maurizio Gucci, in an upcoming film. Oh and did we mention that this one’s directed by the great Ridley Scott?
Like we mentioned earlier, it’s certainly been a big year for Lady Gaga. And to see her star as the Ice Queen in X-Men is the cherry on this cake.
