Rihanna sings “Same Old Love” and it gets leaked online leaving fans into a frenzy. The track is officially sang and release by Selena Gomez. A great opportunity for the fans to contemplating who sang the song better.

The Barbadian singer, Rihanna was offered to do “Same Old Love” while she was busy recording the ‘Anti’ album. Naturally, someone else wrote the song and English songwriter, Charlie XCX confirms that.

Charlie XCX via Tumblr says, “[I] wrote the song with StarGate and Benny Blanco and Ross Golan at the beginning of 2015, I think at one point Rihanna was gonna sing it or something, but then I think the direction of her record changed and it wasn’t right for her anymore..”

After Rihanna did not resonate with the lyrics, the American singer, Selena Gomez records the track. Charlie XCX continues to say, “I think Selena heard it and was into it, and she sang it, and it just suited her voice and her story so well. The song felt so emotional and real coming from her. I was really happy she cut it; it felt very powerful.”

Rihanna singing “Same Old Love” was also teased in 2014 via Twitter. However, Selena Gomez released the song in 2015 as part of her ‘Rivaval’ album, maybe because it suited her on and off relationship with Justin Bieber.
