Capaldi crashed the stage while The Vamps were performing ‘Risk It All’, the first of their three-track encore. This was the artist’s first public appearance ever since last month’s Glastonbury set which led him to cancel all his gigs for an indefinite amount of time. Fan-captured footage uploaded on social media, shows the singer running on stage to hug The Vamps frontman, Bradley Will Simpson, and then went on to grab his mic to sing a few lyrics of the song. Connor Ball, The Vamps bassist revealed in an interview that Capaldi came up to them at an after-party and began jamming to one of their lesser-known songs. “We were at this afterparty with Lewis Capaldi and we were just chatting with him. We were just having a normal conversation and then, out of nowhere, he started screaming in mine and Brad’s ears this album track, off our first album. So like, not even a single, he just loves the song!”
