In 2021, women are making the world turn around, without a doubt. They’re dictating their own rules, choosing their own freedom, and living more independently. Be it standing up for their rights or making it big in an industry, they’re going for what they desire. And, especially these ten artists.
Even in the music world, female musicians have broken many barriers and have raised the standard of the industry. Just to acknowledge their success, here are the ten female artists who made history with their music.

2. Beyonce’s first six studio albums reached No.1 on the Billboard 200 and her first six releases also hit No.1, making her the only artist to do so. She’s also the only artist to receive 31 ACM Awards. And, that’s not it! The singer has got most number of awards for Video of the Year.
3. Ariana Grande is the first solo act to gain three positions on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, simultaneously. She also has the highest No.1 debut singles on the same chart.
4. At the age of 19, Taylor Swift became the youngest CMA entertainer of the year. Swift’s track, ‘Cardigan’ and ‘Folklore’ album both were on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 chart, simultanously. She also has the most number of AMAs (29).
5. Rihanna has spent 360 weeks on the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and also is the youngest artist to win the MTV Video of the Year, she was only 19 years when she earned it.
6. Whitney Houston became the only artist to be at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100, seven consecutive times. Also, the only artist to have spent 12 weeks, being at No.1 position on the Hot 100 and Billboard 200 chart, simultaneously. And, in 2001, she was the first one to receive ACM Lifetime Achievement Award.
7. Billie Eilish became the youngest artist to win Album of The Year, Record of the Year, to receive nominations and win in four big categories of Grammy Awards, all in the same year. She was just 18 years old when she earned these awards.
8. Mariah Carey has spent 82 weeks cumulatively at No.1 position on the Billboard Hot 100. She’s the only solo artist to be ranked at No.1 in four decades and have the most No.1 hits (19).
9. Janet Jackson holds the record for having the highest number of Billboard Hot 100 entries which reached the top 10. She also is the only artist to gain top five hits, seven times from an album. Not only that, she’s the youngest to win MTV Video Vanguard Award.
10. Barbra Streisand is the only artist who has consecutive No.1 albums on the Billboard 200 in six decades, from 1960s to 2010s. Also, has earned the lonest span (51 weeks) of No.1 albums on same chart. She is the only person who has got an Oscard for acting and songwriting.
