2020 MTV EMAs Nominees: Who’s in, Who’s Out?
The 2020 MTV European Music Awards are almost here. And so, 2020 seems to be closing out with a bang. And, one of music’s biggest nights has announced its arrival. Further, the 2020 MTV EMAs are slated to air on the 8th of November, Sunday.
In addition, the event, which will be broadcasted live like other major events of this year, is sure to feature a star-studded line up. But, the most exciting part of any award show are the winners. And, this year, we’ve got some strong contenders in each category. So, take a look at this year’s MTV EMA nominations.
And, the Nominees Are…

2. In a landmark event, South Korean act, BTS, were nominated in 5 different categories (Best Group, Best Pop, and more). This made them the second most nominated act at the 2020 MTV EMAs.
3. Justin Bieber tied with BTS, and scored 5 nominations to his name. His nominations include Best Artist, Best Pop, and Best Collaboration.
4. Further, in happy news, pop superstar Dua Lipa made one of her first appearances in this year’s award season. The star is up for Best Pop, Best Artist, and more.
5. And, joining her (in a first, too) is fellow British superstar, Harry Styles. The former One Direction member is up for Best Pop and Best Artist.
6. Now, K-Pop makes waves with another act. BLACKPINK scored a nomination in the Best Collaboration category with their Selena Gomez project – ‘Ice Cream’. This marked their first nomination at the MTV EMAs.
7. And, no surprises here – Doja Cat scored a nomination for Best New Artist. And, she’s joined in august company by Yungblud, Jack Harlow and more.
8. Further, Colombian rap sensation, J Balvin scored a nomination in a first-time category at this years MTV EMAs – Best Latin. And, other nominees include Maluma, Karol G, and more.
9. Now, R&B star, H.E.R, scored a nomination in the new category: Video For Good. Further, she was joined by Jorja Smith, Anderson Paak, and Lil Baby.
10. And, in the biggest twist at this year’s MTV EMAs, Post Malone scored just 1 nomination. The star is up for Best Virtual Live (new category) with his Nirvana Tribute bagging the nomination.
