1. Earlier, the queen of rap, singer, songwriter and actress’s stage name was Nicki Miraj as her birth name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty. But eventually, she changed it to Nicki Minaj.
2. Nicki Minaj started her career in 2004 with rapping on a quartet called ‘The Hoodstars’ but rose to fame with her album “Pink Friday” in 2010 with songs like ‘Moment 4 Life’ and ‘Superbass’.
3. The “Chun-Li’ singer’s favorite color is none other than pink. Not only does she choose to dress up and wear wigs of the same shade but also include the word in her albums and fragrances titles.
4. Nicki Minaj does love her ink not just on paper but even on her body. She’s got ‘God Is Always With Me’ tattooed on her left arm in Chinese.
5. Nicki Minaj does not require any musical instrument for a voice like hers to pump up her songs but turns out, she knows to play a lot of them. The singer can play a piano and a clarinet. Apparently, the singer learnt to play the clarinet in high school.
6. Nicki Minaj is known for her epic rap talent but you can add another skill to her long list. She was a waitress at Red Lobster restaurant before she got into music.
7. Nicki Minaj married her long time boyfriend, Kenneth Petty on October 21, 2019. Even though she received a lot of hate since the couple got together in 2018 due to Petty’s criminal history, they seem to be going very strong.
8. The “Ganja Burn” rapper grew up in a very abusive household and that’s inspired her to make a significant impact against domestic violence, sexual assault and women’s safety. She’s an avid advocate for women’s rights and many organisations.
9. The “Anaconda” singer like many of us loves and fears. She loves her chocolates and candies especially ‘Hi-Chew’. While this isn’t absurd for many celebs but she makes the paparazzi come to her so that she does not have to take an escalator only because she fears heights.
10. As a young kid, Nicki Minaj had a lot of nicknames but the one that stuck around was ‘Barbie’. Which makes sense as her earlier Instagram handle was called ‘@allpinkbarbiedreamhouse’.
