The Week In Music: News From October 5th to 11th
This week has been peppered with some absolutely wonderful headlines from the music world. Adhering to all our sweet tooth needs, the music gods have showered us with new treats. They arrive in the form of fresh releases from Doja Cat and Bebe Rexha.
This week has also been witness to some exciting new announcements. According to a source, Adele is reportedly gearing up to make a comeback with a whole new album in the month of October. Monsta X have confirmed that they will also make their landing with a new album titled, ‘Fatal Love’. Further, the charts have also witnessed a flurry of activity as some newcomers have earned the No. 1 spot while other seasoned acts, continue to reign supreme.

2. Speaking of new albums, Monsta X is all set to return on November 2nd with their third full-length album, ‘Fatal Love’.
3. Machine Gun Kelly has just crossed a new milestone in his career. The young star just earned his first No. 1 claim on the Billboard 200 Albums chart with his latest record, ‘Tickets To My Downfall’.
4. The 2020 MTV EMAs just dropped their nominee list and it look like Lady Gaga is leading the pack once again, with seven nods. Following closely behind are BTS and Justin Bieber with 5 nominations each.
5. Rihanna recently came under fire for using a song that included sacred Islamic verses during her latest Savage x Fenty lingerie show. The star immediately issued an apology to her Muslim fanbase.
6. With the release of their debut studio album, BLACKPINK have already earned a few new feathers to their cap. This week, the band also dropped their first trailer for the upcoming Netflix documentary, ‘BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky’.
7. Billie Eilish is all set to hold her very first livestream concert. Titled, ‘Where Do We Go?’ the show is set to air on October 24th.
8. BTS’ lead vocalist, Park Jimin, has earned the band another feather to their cap. His sultry hit, ‘Filter’ just topped Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, making BTS the first artist with the most No. 1s in history.
9. The up and coming Kpop act, TXT, just unveiled the tracklist for their new EP “Minisode 1: Blue Hour”. It features five fresh songs and interestingly some will track the lives of today’s youth that’ve been turned upside down due to the global pandemic.
10. Bebe Rexha just recruited Doja Cat for her brand new track, ‘Baby I’m Jealous‘. Featuring sultry, husky melodies and battling ideas of insecurity, this tune proves to be quite the catchy treat.
