Hon Chief Minister Pramod P. Sawant flagged off the field at 7 AM, as waves crashed down Miramar Beach. Goa Emerges as a Global Triathlon and Wellness Destination
In addition to the top athletes, public figures like Tejasvi Surya and K. Annamalai, who finished the triathlon, made an appearance at the event too. Their presence served as an important message: that fitness is not just policy, but a regular practice. In order to make it back for his second completion, Surya had to overcome the challenges of travel fatigue and even a jellyfish sting while swimming.
On the other hand, Annamalai emphasized the need for both mental and physical toughness. The state's push to position Goa as a premium triathlon destination is underlined by the course's unique features: the open‑sea swim, the rolling bike terrain and the flat run through heritage and coastal landscapes.

Additionally, the event also emphasized on Goa's efforts to establish itself as a top sport for sports and wellness destination.
