Ariana Grande Plans To Drop New Track, ‘Positions’ This Week

Just last week, Ariana Grande created quite the buzz when she confirmed that a new album would make its landing in the month of October itself. The star’s kept fans on their toes over the past few weeks by dropping hint after hint on her new era in music. And now, it looks like the clouds have finally parted over what appears to be a sparkling new single. 

So, here’s how it all started. Ariana took to social media to post a rather ominous video clip. It featured her fingers dancing over a lit-up, neon green keyboard. The slow-motion teaser allows us to see every she pushes down on, revealing the word: ‘Positions’. 

Oh but it doesn’t end there. A couple hours after dropping her curious little teaser, Ariana updated the homepage of her website. Currently, she’s launched a countdown to two dates — October 23rd, which is this Friday and October 30th. Fans believe that the star’s lead single, supposedly titled, ‘Positions’ will arrive by the end of this week, followed by her full-length sixth studio album.

Now, just to jog your memory, in early October, the singer’s producer Tommy Brown actually spilled the tea on her upcoming album. He took to Instagram to put up a throwback picture from Ariana’s “Thank U, Next” era. Oh and it held a mysterious caption that read, “6****”. Preceding this, Ariana even posted a brief clip featuring some dreamy, melodic runs. 

And more recently, the young star took to Twitter to confirm, “i can’t wait to give u my album this month.” Before clarifying that her fans had indeed read that right, October will see a new album. And so, there’s nothing left to do but follow the breadcrumbs that Ariana has been sprinkling over the past few weeks. 

What lies at the end of that trail? We have a feeling it’s something big. Really big.
