Coldplay Premieres New Song 'Good Feelings' Live in Rome

Coldplay debuted their new song ‘Good Feelings’ during a performance in Rome on 12th July. The show, held at Stadio Olimpico, marked the first of four consecutive performances at the venue.

As the set neared its conclusion, which included many of the band’s most popular songs, Coldplay introduced the lively and upbeat ‘Good Feelings’ for the first time ever in their setlist. Fans captured footage of the performance, which can be viewed here:

According to Rolling Stone, ‘Good Feelings’ was initially planned for inclusion on 2021’s ‘Music Of The Spheres’ as a collaboration with the Chainsmokers. However, it is now expected to feature on ‘Moon Music’ with vocals by Ayra Starr.

There is speculation about whether ‘Moon Music’ will mark Coldplay’s final album, as the band previously hinted at potentially ceasing album releases by 2025. This speculation first arose in 2021 during an interview with Jo Whiley, where they discussed nearing the end of their current phase of writing new material.

Frontman Chris Martin then shared a similar sentiment with NME in that same year, when he discussed how “intense” it can be to keep releasing new material.

“We’re going to make 12 albums. Because it’s a lot to pour everything into making them. I love it and it’s amazing, but it’s very intense too,” he said. “I feel like because I know that challenge is finite, making this music doesn’t feel difficult, it feels like, ‘This is what we’re supposed to be doing’.”
