Déjà vu By CNCO Tops New Music Poll
Topping the charts most recently is the new album “Déjà vu” by CNCO. The album has topped the week’s new music poll.
Billboard conducted a new music poll and this is what the one published on Friday, February 5th has to say. The band’s album “Déjà vu” consisting of a nostalgia-filled 13-track set has been voted as music fans’ favourite new music release of the week. The album reimagines Latin classic tracks like ‘Tan Enamorados’ by Ricardo Montaner and ‘Mis Ojos Lloran Por Ti’ by Big Boy.
“Déjà vu” earned a staggering 95% of the votes. The album successfully beat Cardi B’s new music ‘Up’, Hayley Williams’ “Flowers For Vases / Descansos” and “Medicine at Midnight” by Foo Fighters among others as well!
A Personal Touch
Christopher, Erick, Joel, Richard and Zabdiel of CNCO all handpicked personal favourite cover songs for “Déjà vu”. The album sees the quintet take on tracks like ‘Hero’ by Enrique Iglesias and ‘Entra En Mi Vida’ by Sin Bandera that reflects reverence, invention and honor of the originals. The band uses different harmonies as a means to amplify their work on the tracks.
CNCO said, “At the beginning of quarantine, we took some time off since we had been traveling a lot these past few years, We were able to reconnect with our families and reflect on all we’ve achieved and look back at the music that inspired us to get where we are. Déjà vu All The Way ‘Up’!
Sitting comfortably at the second place in the past week’s tally is the uptempo energetic track ‘Up’ by Cardi B with 3% votes. The track follows her Bill Hot 100 chart topper ‘WAP’ in collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.
The track is an absolute hot slice made up of hot “NSFW” rhymes with an over-the-top music video featuring visuals that are NSFW as well! The duo switch tons of costumes as well as leaving us wondering about the amount of patience the duo must have endured. Well, “Déjà vu” is the latest hit and we sure do not want you to miss it!
