Halsey Launches ‘The Black Creators Fund’ For Artists
As the fight for racial justice continues, Halsey has once again stepped in to help out. Just a week ago, she was at #BlackLivesMatter protests, providing first aid to injured protesters. She’s also been heavily active on social media, giving her followers a glimpse of what’s happening on ground while constantly sharing her views on the issue.
And now, she just launched a special fund to help black creators. Titled, ‘The Black Creators Fund’, it will aim to provide financial support, resources and a platform to black creators.
She took to Instagram to announce the news with a poster of this initiative. It features the text, ‘The Black Creators Fund‘ in bold, against a mustard yellow wallpaper. The text below calls for poets, artists, filmmakers, graphic designers and more, to showcase their work, in order for this fund to help them achieve their goals.
Halsey captioned the post with this, “Looking for black creators who want to enrich the world with their work. Use #BLACKCREATORSFUND & tag your favorite black creators in the comments.”
Halsey’s team will channel all their efforts into helping this initiative grow. The singer is continuing to take her protests on ground. In fact, just a few weeks ago, Halsey was hit twice with rubber bullets, but this has not deterred her from taking to the streets once again.
With this new project, Halsey also added that, “In addition to the funds, the artists will be promoted on my social media to help launch their platforms and we will help provide resources, information and touch points for as many people as possible.”
It’s truly amazing to see Halsey fight, week after week. She joins a long list of artists who are ceaselessly fighting for the #BlackLivesMatter Movement.
