MAMAMOO Gear Up For A New Comeback

With comeback season in full swing in the Kpop world, a number of musicians are making their landing with fresh, new albums. October has promised the return of BLACKPINK, NCT, TXT and a number of other buzzing acts. And adding to this list are the rising stars of MAMAMOO.

The four-member band are gearing up to make their return to the music scene with a brand new album. Their agency recently put out a statement regarding this that read,  “They are preparing for a comeback in early November. We will announce the schedule once it is confirmed.”

In fact in early September, MAMAMOO treated fans to a brand new single. Titled, ‘Wanna Be Myself’ this tune was forged from the band’s characteristic, sultry melodies and pretty falsettos. This track also took a firm dip into disco-retro goodness, arriving with a groovy cocktail of beats to support the girls’ vocals.

At the time of release, the band’s agency shared a heartwarming statement that read, “[The track] is a surprise gift for fans who have been waiting for MAMAMOO’s music for a long time… We ask for your interest and expectation”.

‘Wanna Be Myself’ also marked the band’s return to the music scene after a good ten months. In November 2019, MAMAMOO landed with their second full-length album, “Reality is Black”. The eleven track record nursed hit tunes like, ‘Destiny‘ and ‘Hip’. Further, the album went on to become the band’s third number-one album, and even entered the top 20 of the US Billboard World Albums chart.

What gems MAMAMOO will unearth with this new era in music, we’ll just have to wait and see.
