Rihanna Shares Heartfelt Advice to Young Girl Aspiring to Be The "Next Rihanna"

In a recent interview Rihanna had a heartwarming exchange with seven-year-old correspondent Francesca, who interviewed the superstar in celebration of her Fenty x Puma Avanti kids’ sneaker line. 

During the chat, the young girl sweetly shared, "I want to be the next Rihanna," which prompted a warm response from the beauty mogul. Placing her hand on the girl’s shoulder, Rihanna encouraged her with a laugh, "Oh no, you’ve got to be better than Rihanna. By the time you grow up, I’ll be vintage—antique!"

This light-hearted moment highlighted Rihanna's encouragement for younger generations to aim high and exceed expectations. When Francesca asked for advice, Rihanna responded with wisdom: "Aim for the stars. Don’t aim for me. Aim beyond me. You’re going to be fantastic." 

She shared a broader message with Francesca's generation, expressing, "I want you guys to always be greater, better, smarter, and change the world in ways we couldn’t." Rihanna also spoke about her children’s influence on the sneaker design, despite their young age. 

Her two kids, RZA and Riot, played a role in shaping the practicality of the shoes, she explained. "They helped me figure out how to make it easier to put shoes on kids," Rihanna said, noting her focus on convenience for parents when dressing their little ones.

The star, who is known for her close connection with fans and family, confirmed plans to attend the Met Gala with her partner, A$AP Rocky, this year, with him set to serve as co-chair. Rihanna’s words continue to inspire young fans, reminding them to reach for greatness and shape a future beyond the dreams of today.
