Shawn Mendes Tops The Charts, Again!
Shawn Mendes is the news, again! The Canadian superstar is riding high into the holiday season. His latest album “Wonder” has secured the No.1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart as of 14th December 2020. Big news for the boy and we’re happy about that.
The ‘Wonder’ singer released his fourth studio album on December 4th, 2020. The album sits atop the chart, at the No.1 spot following an earning of 89,000 equivalent album units in the U.S up until the 10th of December. This marks fourth No.1 album by Shawn. All four of his albums hold a history of debuting at No.1. Is he even normal?
The ‘Stitches’ singer boasts of another feat with this achievement. Shawn becomes the fourth-youngest singer to claim the No.1 spot four times on the Billboard 200. Looks like four is Shawn’s lucky number! He is also the youngest male artist to top the Billboard chart with four full-length studio albums.
The Billboard 200 chart has a multi-metric system to evaluate the performance of an album/song. This encapsulates album sales, track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums. Shawn has mastered all.
Celebration All The Way!
Prior to this, Mendes treated his fans with the release of the much-awaited collaboration with Justin Bieber, ‘Monster’. Following which he released ‘Wonder’ and the entire album which fans haven’t been able to stop raving about.
The man has several reasons to celebrate this festive season and has certainly finished the year on a high note. And he has his talent manager pour praises for him and why not?
The singer also dropped ‘The Christmas Song’ with his ladylove, Camila Cabello earlier this month leaving his fans feeling all fuzzy. Apart from this, the music video of the track also has gone to become people’s favourite.
