In a recent conversation with Empire Magazine, the ‘Anyone But You’ star gave fans a glimpse into what's ahead for her character, calling the upcoming season completely “unhinged.” According to Sydney Sweeney, Cassie will be experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions — and surprisingly, she’ll be at her happiest yet, despite also being at her most unstable.

Sharing her thoughts on the character, Sydney Sweeney expressed a deep connection to Cassie, describing her as a deeply flawed individual who often acts out of love, even if that love leads her down a tragic or misguided path. She noted that portraying someone as chaotic and emotionally intense as Cassie continues to be a thrilling challenge, especially with creator Sam Levinson pushing the boundaries alongside her. When discussing the new season’s tone, Sydney Sweeney explained that she often suggests ramping up the intensity — a move Levinson eagerly supports, resulting in a narrative that promises to be more unpredictable than ever.

Production for Season 3 officially began in January 2025, with the entire main cast set to return for what could be the most explosive season yet. The previous season captivated viewers with darker plot twists, including Cassie's secret involvement with Nate, her best friend’s toxic ex-boyfriend, adding layers to her already complex character arc.
