She said in a statement to the BBC that getting to work with the great Hans Zimmer is a dream come true, let alone being able to combine her passion for the planet we live on and her music. As she works to conserve the unique ecosystems from global warming, Frozen Planet II is stunning and Sir David’s voiceover is incredibly moving, she added. Camila also said that she was honoured to be able to contribute her voice to such a motivating series.

Zimmer on the other hand, said that it was very exciting, composing and recording ‘Take Me Back Home’ with Camila and discovering that her musical talents are as powerful as her voice.

According to executive producer Mark Brownlow, the six-part series ‘Frozen Planet II’, a follow-up to 2011’s ‘Frozen Planet’, is about the “wondrous species overcoming the hardships of existence in the extremes” in the Arctic and Antarctica. The fragility of these enchanted worlds is captured in the profoundly poignant original song by Hans and Camila at a time when their very survival is in doubt.
