The Weeknd & Maluma Have A New Track On The Way
There’s a sparkling new collaboration on the horizon and it’s between two of the biggest acts currently running the show: The Weeknd and Maluma. While they do sound like an unlikely duo, it’s safe to say that some of the greatest chart-topping hits are born from the union of two starkly different artists.
So, here’s how it all went down. The Weeknd initially took to social media to share a picture of himself and Maluma. Both stars are dressed in all-black, standing in what appears to be the midst of an icy fortress, complete with blinding white lights.
Of course, just as the news came out, the Twittersphere exploded. A flood of tweets have gushed out, all prompting the stars to dish out more details on their new collaboration.
While both Maluma and The Weeknd chose to keep their lips sealed, the latter did however tweet his stage name in Spanish. Now, it’s safe to say that The Weeknd is no stranger to fantastic collaborations. In fact, this year has already seen him tie up with some impressive acts. He recruited Doja Cat for the remixed version of ‘In Your Eyes‘. And this rendition then went on to do the rounds on charts. Next up, he featured on the late Juice WRLD’s posthumous album, “Legends Never Die” on the track, ‘Smile‘. And more recently, he joined forces with Ariana Grande for the tune, “Off the table,” which found a space on her sixth studio album, “Positions”.
While all these collaborative efforts have received a decent amount of commercial success, his tie up with Maluma is still clouded under a layer of intrigue. And so, the waiting game begins.
