TWICE Releases First English-Language Single ‘The Feels’
The popular K-pop band TWICE is back and this time with English music. The girl group released their first-ever English-language single, The Feels, on 1st October. The release was accompanied with a fun-filled visual to accompany the poppy track.
The technicolor music video starts off with a mysterious letter being passed underneath the door of the deluxe wardrobe that the girls are hanging out in. Upon opening up the note, the nine members of the girl group– Sana, Tzuyu, Momo, Nayeon, Mina, Jihyo, Dahyun, Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung — are delighted to find out they’ve been cordially invited to prom. As they prep themselves for the big night, the girls fantasize over their romantic prospects before heading out for the evening.
The second part of the video shows the girls’ prom fantasy come to life, complete with a sea blue theme, larger than life balloon arches, decked out tables, and a coronation throne for the prom queen. The TWICE members take a break from the festivities to perform at the event, dancing to the chorus of the song. “You have stolen my heart, oh, yeah/ Never let it go-oh-oh/ No, never let it go-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh/ Lightning straight to my heart, oh, yeah/ I got all the feels for sure/ Yeah, I got all the feels for ya,” Nayeon and Jihyo sing.
The Feels music video concludes with important dates for the fans. It included the date of the group’s sixth debut anniversary- 20th October. Their fans can expect the release of their third full album in November. Following the video’s release, the K-pop superstars also updated their official Instagram page with behind-the-scenes content from the video shoot.
The new single continues a successful 2021 for TWICE. Taste of Love: The 10th Mini Album reached the No. 6 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
