The new trailer for '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple' has dropped, reuniting three beloved characters from the previous instalment. Directed by Nia DaCosta, the third instalment in the franchise picks up decades after the original 2002 hit, '28 Days Later,' and continues exploring the aftermath of a catastrophic zombie outbreak.

Set almost 30 years after society was nearly wiped out, the story centres on survivors living on an isolated island. When a father and son leave the island for a coming-of-age ritual, they uncover a terrifying mutation of the virus, giving rise to a stronger, more intelligent zombie known as the "Alpha."

The previous film in the series was both a critical and box office success, praised for blending horror, humour, and social commentary on isolationism and contemporary global events, including the pandemic. The soundtrack in '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple,' composed by Young Fathers, added to the eerie and elegiac tone of the story.

What's Happening in 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple?

In 'The Bone Temple,' returning characters Spike (Alfie Williams), Dr. Ian Kelson (Ralph Fiennes), and Sir Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) continue their arcs. The trailer highlights Kelson's life before the outbreak and his strategies for surviving in a changed world, culminating in a tense confrontation with the "Alpha." Scenes also suggest that Sir Jimmy Crystal's mysterious cult intersects with the other survivors' paths, adding layers of suspense and intrigue.
