Archie Andrews and his friends from Riverdale are officially heading to the big screen. The producers behind 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,' '21 Jump Street,' and 'The Lego Movie' are teaming up for a live-action adaptation of Archie Comics.
According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, and Deadline, the filmmaking duo of Christopher Miller and Phil Lord will produce the project alongside former 20th Century Studios executive Emma Watts.
Comic book writer Tom King, who also worked on the upcoming 'Supergirl' movie, has been tapped to adapt the script. Archie Comics CEO and publisher Jon Goldwater will join the production as a co-producer.

Lord and Miller have long admired Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and the rest of the Riverdale gang.
