In the much awaited 'Wicked: For Good,' which will be released on 21st November, Ariana Grande is stepping into one of the most beloved musical worlds once again as she reprises her role as Glinda. Known globally for her powerhouse vocals, chart-topping albums and ongoing evolution as an artist, now uses her emotional range and musical inclinations to play a role with which she feels deeply connected to. In recent interviews, the singer revealed that Glinda's inner transformation—from an optimistic young student to a complex, conflicted leader—is what resonated with her most.

Grande's love for the part has increased anticipation for the follow-up, which reunites her with Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and continues the story of friendship, power and identity in the magical world of Oz.

Ariana Grande's journey from rising teen star to globally celebrated vocalist is marked by emotional storytelling, vocal versatility and a willingness to dive into personal themes through music. Songs like 'Thank You, Next,' 'No Tears Left to Cry,' and 'Positions' demonstrated her ability to combine confidence and tenderness.

What attracted her to Glinda is reflected in that progress. Grande explained that Glinda's changing definition of "goodness" throughout 'Wicked' and 'Wicked: For Good' captivated her the most. "Her emotional arc is my favourite thing about her. She spends the entire story searching for the true meaning of goodness, and that definition shifts for her many times." she said.

In order to play Glinda, Grande had to adopt a persona that is both glitzy on the outside and introspective on the inside, mirroring the dichotomy she has frequently examined in her own public life. Her comeback to Oz is more than simply a show; it's an opportunity to play a character whose triumphs and tragedies mirror the emotional narratives on which she has built her career.

Inside the Film 'Wicked: For Good'

'Wicked: For Good' picks off right where the first movie left off. Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), now believed to be the Wicked Witch of the West, has gone into hiding, while Glinda (Grande) stands at the forefront of Emerald City as a beloved leader. But below the glittering dresses and the public's awe, Glinda is having difficulties.

Producer Marc Platt revealed that Glinda begins this sequel as "the kind of leader the people of Oz expect—lovely, generous, but hollow." Only in private moments does she question whether she is truly doing good or simply appearing to. With new musical pieces, such as Grande's heartbreaking song 'Girl in the Bubble,' which captures Glinda's inner turmoil, the movie expands on this.

Grande has frequently praised her collaboration with Erivo, highlighting how their distinct on-and off-screen energies have enhanced the interplay between their characters.
