Ariana Grande is open to joining The Muppets universe, and Jennifer Lawrence is on board with the idea.
During the ET: Live on the Golden Globes Carpet pre-show for the 2026 Golden Globes on Grande, 32, laughed as she said she would be open to appearing in the upcoming Miss Piggy movie from Lawrence and Emma Stone. When asked about the project, she clarified that while it was a joke, she is a big fan of The Muppets.
Later, Entertainment Tonight co-host Kevin Frazier spoke with Lawrence, 35, who confirmed that Ariana Grande's participation was never official and likely started as a Twitter rumour. Lawrence added that if Ariana Grande wants to join the film, she would be very welcome. She even urged Grande directly on camera to be part of the project.

More on Miss Piggy Film
The Miss Piggy film, produced by Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone, was first announced in November. Cole Escola is attached as a writer, and Lawrence has hinted that she and Stone may have roles in the movie, though neither will play Miss Piggy. Stone, 37, recently told W Magazine that portraying Miss Piggy is out of the question, emphasising that the iconic character deserves to play herself.
The project is still in development, and fans are eagerly awaiting updates on the star-studded Muppets movie.
The 83rd Golden Globe Awards took place at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on 11th January and were broadcast on CBS with streaming available on Paramount+.
