William Morris Endeavor (WME) has signed EJAE, the breakout star of Netflix's animated musical 'KPop Demon Hunters,' to represent her globally in all facets of her music career. EJAE, who is well-known for her strong vocals and skill as a songwriter, has gained international recognition for her work as the main vocalist of the fictional girl group HUNTR/X, Rumi. She is one of the most talked-about musicians in the world of music thanks to her contributions to the movie's soundtrack, especially the hit song 'Golden,' which has received both critical and commercial praise.

A Global Phenomenon: 'Golden' and Beyond

As the first song by a female K-pop singer to reach the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100, EJAE's breakthrough hit 'Golden' has garnered remarkable success, spending eight weeks at the top of the chart. The song has received over 800 million Spotify plays and peaked at number one on the Billboard Global 200 list.

As a result, these songs have contributed to the soundtrack's historic achievement of placing four songs simultaneously in the Billboard Top 10, a first in the platform's history.

'KPop Demon Hunters' is an animated musical film that follows the story of HUNTR/X, a K-pop girl group who secretly battle demons while maintaining their public personas as pop idols. Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, the film took nearly nine years to complete and draws inspiration from Korean shamans, known as mudang, who use music and dance in their rituals. 'KPop Demon Hunters' received over 236 million views in just two months after its premiere, making it the most-watched original animated movie on Netflix.

A sing-along version of the movie sold out more than 1,300 showings in North America, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, briefly taking it to the top of the U.S. box office. The success of the movie went beyond streaming. 'KPop Demon Hunters' has now become a cultural sensation thanks to its captivating plot, vibrant animation, and number-one song.
