Bruce Springsteen has confirmed that more unreleased music is on the horizon, including five complete, previously unheard albums. The revelation comes just ahead of the release of his upcoming box set, ‘Tracks II: The Lost Albums’, which is due out on 27th June.

The expansive collection will include 83 tracks recorded throughout Springsteen’s career, offering a deeper look into his evolution as a songwriter and performer. While many assumed this release would mark the end of material from his archives, Springsteen clarified in a recent interview with The New York Times that there is still more to come. He shared that a follow-up compilation, titled ‘Tracks III’, has already been completed.

Much like ‘Tracks II’, the next installment won’t simply be a mix of outtakes, but will feature full albums that, for various reasons, were never officially released. Springsteen explained that these records were cohesive and reflected specific moments or phases in his musical journey. “[There are] five full albums of music,” he said, adding that this next collection will likely empty out the remaining contents of his vault.

He noted that the recordings in ‘Tracks III’ span from the time of his 1973 debut ‘Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J.’ up to material created as recently as 2024. Springsteen also expressed the importance of preserving these works in album format, stating that a record serves as a clear document of who an artist is at a particular moment in time. He described these previously shelved projects as distinct bodies of work, often assembled while working on other albums.

Among the highlights in ‘Tracks II’ is a song titled ‘Blind Spot’, which opens the unreleased ‘Streets of Philadelphia Sessions’—an album that was completed and originally planned for a 1995 release, but was shelved when Springsteen reunited with The E Street Band after a seven-year hiatus. Another notable entry is the ‘LA Garage Sessions ’83’, a lo-fi collection that bridges the sonic gap between ‘Nebraska’ (1982) and ‘Born in the USA’ (1984).

‘Lost and Found’ Companion Album and BBC Tribute Mark Springsteen Milestone

Alongside the full 83-track box set, a shorter companion album called ‘Lost And Found: Selections From The Lost Albums’ will be made available, featuring 20 standout songs from the compilation.

This wave of unreleased material follows a recent tribute by the BBC, which marked the 50th anniversary of Springsteen’s first UK concert with a special series of broadcasts. While a release date for ‘Tracks III’ has yet to be announced, fans can expect a continued look into the artist’s extensive archive in the months ahead.
