Cardi B Makes Stunning Runway Debut at L.A. Balenciaga Street Show

Making her runway debut in Los Angeles during Balenciaga's pre-fall 2024 show marked a significant accomplishment for Cardi B. 

The rapper, 31, looked stunning in an off-the-shoulder coat of bright blue faux fur with a bustier bodysuit underneath, but the statement piece was the fluffy, oversized coat. Cardi looked stunning for her first runway show, accessorizing herself with striking diamond studs, a diamond ring and a sparkling diamond chain featuring the brand's emblem.

With her hair pulled back into a long ponytail, she accessorized the look with striking cat-eye makeup and a bold dark red lip.

The Parisian fashion house, Balenciaga, staged its most recent show, its first since its contentious holiday campaign in 2022.

Cardi B’s Balenciaga debut

The location was a blocked-off street in the Hancock Park neighbourhood of Los Angeles. The models displayed the easy-going, streetwear-inspired collection against the gorgeous backdrop of a palm tree-lined road that was perfectly angled towards the Hollywood sign.

Cardi B made her runway debut, but her husband Offset had already walked a Balenciaga catwalk. During Paris Fashion Week in 2021, the rapper Migos, who is 31 years old, participated in the brand's Spring/Summer 2022 show while wearing an entire Balenciaga ensemble.

After the show, Cardi B posted on Instagram, showing her love and pride in her spouse: "So proud of my husband @offsetrn who walked the show!"

Other Stars Graced the Balenciaga Fashion Show

Stars like Salma Hayek, Nicole Kidman and Kim Kardashian attended the event, which showcased designer Demna's creative takes on L.A. fashion codes like grunge, evening wear, and sportswear.

Along with showcasing Demna's creations, the show included exclusive items that were only available for a short time. This included jewellery made in association with Jacob & Co. and totes and clothes made in association with organic retailer Erewhon.

At the show, Kim Kardashian, a passionate supporter of Balenciaga for almost two years, embraced the brand's edgy aesthetic.

She wore a black jacket with the Balenciaga logo, a nude high-neck top, and nude lace leggings. Kardashian accessorized her appearance with black visor sunglasses and wet hair. As Cardi B was walking down the runway, Kardashian used her Instagram Story to wish the rapper a warm greeting.
