Cher’s Son Hospitalised Following Report of Erratic Behaviour, Months After Conservatorship Case Ends

Elijah Blue Allman, son of Cher and the late musician Gregg Allman, was reportedly hospitalised on 14th June after authorities in Southern California responded to a call about a man behaving erratically in a Mojave Desert home. According to officials, Allman was being assessed by medical staff at the scene, and dr*gs were allegedly found inside the residence. The incident remains under investigation.

While no official cause has been confirmed, TMZ claimed that sources familiar with the situation suggested a possible overdose.

This incident comes just months after the conclusion of a legal dispute between Allman and his mother. In late 2023, Cher had filed for conservatorship, citing concerns over her son’s mental health and substance use. She claimed he was unable to manage his finances and feared that any inheritance from his late father's trust would be misused and put his life at risk.

However, her requests for temporary conservatorship were denied in January 2024. In response, Allman contested the move, arguing he did not require such oversight and went as far as to suggest Cher would not be a suitable conservator. By May, both parties agreed to pause court proceedings to explore a private resolution, ultimately reaching a settlement by September.

Representatives for Allman later said the resolution allowed the family to shift their focus toward healing and rebuilding their relationship, a process that reportedly began during mediation.

Cher Hints at Final Album Following 2023’s ‘Christmas’ Release

In separate news, Cher shared last year that her next album would likely be her last. She spoke about the project while promoting ‘Cher: The Memoir, Part One’ in November and said she was thrilled about the upcoming songs. Her most recent studio album, ‘Christmas’, was released in 2023 and included the single ‘DJ Play A Christmas Song’. It marked her first album of original material in a decade and her 27th solo release overall.
