Dacre Montgomery is looking forward to the end of 'Stranger Things,' but not for the reason many fans might expect.
The 31-year-old actor spoke with PEOPLE during a special screening of his new film Dead Man's Wire in New York City recently, where he reflected on what the Netflix series and its fans still mean to him as the final season approaches.
Dacre Montgomery's Emotions For 'Stranger Things'
Montgomery shared that the support from 'Stranger Things' fans has had a massive impact on his life and career. He said the show shaped who he is today and described the experience as incredibly meaningful and life-changing.

Best known for playing Billy Hargrove in seasons 2 and 3, and later appearing in Max's nightmares in season 4, Dacre Montgomery also revealed what excites him most about the series officially wrapping up on 31st December. Rather than focusing on the ending itself, he said he's eager to see what co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer do next. He believes that if audiences loved 'Stranger Things,' they should be excited about the many new ideas the Duffer Brothers now have the freedom to explore.
Duffer Brothers Other Projects
The Duffer Brothers already have several projects in the works, including two upcoming Netflix series. 'The Boroughs' will star Geena Davis and follow a supernatural mystery set in a retirement community, while 'Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen' will centre on a wedding headed for disaster and feature Camila Morrone and Adam DiMarco.
