Glen Powell Clarifies He's Not Exhausted After Back-to-Back Career Wins

Glen Powell isn't slowing down anytime soon. Despite a whirlwind of back-to-back career milestones, the 36-year-old actor made it clear in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE that he is far from exhausted. He explained that as long as he can create exciting projects with people he admires and share the journey with his family, he feels energised and fulfilled rather than drained.

Is Glen Powell Tired of His Busy Career?

Powell noted that fans and colleagues often ask whether he is tired from his busy schedule, but he insisted that he isn't. Instead, he described himself as feeling "in the zone," thriving on the opportunities to bring fresh and entertaining stories to audiences worldwide. Working on projects with inspiring collaborators, he said, continues to give him new energy, insight, and motivation.

The actor is currently promoting 'Chad Powers,' a new Hulu series created in partnership with Raising Cane's. In the show, Glen Powell portrays Russ Holliday, a once-promising college quarterback who sabotaged his career with a major mistake. Seeking redemption, Holliday disguises himself as 'Chad Powers' to secure a second chance on the field. Powell not only stars in the series but also serves as co-creator, writer, and executive producer.

To celebrate the launch, Glen Powell teamed up with Raising Cane's for a football-inspired fan event, complete with a tailgate-style screening. He emphasised how the themes of underdog determination and community connection in 'Chad Powers' align with the culture of college football and the spirit of tailgating.

Glen Powell's Growth as a Successful Actor

Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Glen Powell began his acting career with small roles, including 'Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over' in 2003. He gained momentum with 'The Expendables 3' (2014) and rose to prominence with a lead role in Ryan Murphy's 'Scream Queens' the following year. His breakout moment came in 'Hidden Figures' (2016), where he portrayed astronaut John Glenn, followed by the romantic comedy 'Set It Up' (2018).

In 2018, Powell joined the cast of 'Top Gun: Maverick,' a project that became a massive global success upon its release in 2022. Since then, he has starred in several major films, including 'Anyone but You,' 'Twisters,' and 'Hit Man'—the latter earning him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture–Musical or Comedy.
