Chappell Roan might have hinted that she’s the artist behind the elusive ‘Patchwork’ slot at Glastonbury 2025. The speculation follows her latest Instagram post (shared on 23 June), which included a carousel of throwback childhood images captioned “Insane vibe”. One photo in particular drew fans’ attention — it featured her holding up a handmade patchwork blanket.
This seemingly innocent image has prompted fans to wonder if it’s a deliberate nod to the secret artist billed as ‘Patchwork’—a performance slated for the Pyramid Stage on Saturday (28 June). One fan questioned in the comments whether Roan was “Patchwork at @glastofest this year?”, while another hoped the image was more than just a coincidence.
‘Patchwork’ is among several secret sets rumoured at this year’s festival, following the release of the full line-up and stage timings earlier this month. Speculation has surrounded multiple unannounced performances: a TBA slot on the Pyramid Stage before Alanis Morissette on Friday (27th June), an early morning set at Woodsies on the same day, and a gap between Gary Numan and Beth Gibbons on the Park Stage on Saturday.

The most buzz, however, has centred on the Pyramid Stage’s ‘Patchwork’ slot. Until now, Pulp were considered the frontrunners, particularly with the recent release of their new album ‘More’—their first in 24 years—and the 30th anniversary of their 1995 Glastonbury headline performance. However, both Jarvis Cocker and Candida Doyle have publicly denied the rumours.
Other names floated for the slot include Lorde, who hinted at pulling “some strings” to make a last-minute appearance; HAIM, who have spoken fondly of Glasto in recent interviews; and Lewis Capaldi, whose presence was suspected following a mysterious billboard appearance in Castle Cary.
Roan, despite not being listed in the official Glastonbury 2025 line-up, had been a top rumour before the announcement. Her huge year in 2024—with breakout tracks like ‘Pink Pony Club’ and ‘Good Luck, Babe!’, a celebrated Lollapalooza performance, a Grammy win for Best New Artist, and a duet with Elton John at his Oscars party—made her a strong candidate. Furthermore, the lack of scheduled tour dates between now and August has kept speculation alive.
She’s due to headline this year’s Reading & Leeds Festival as a UK exclusive, but a Glastonbury set under a secret alias like ‘Patchwork’ wouldn’t technically violate that agreement.
Will Chappell Roan Join Glastonbury’s Star-Studded Line-Up?
As of now, who’s performing as ‘Patchwork’ remains a mystery. This year’s Pyramid Stage headliners include Neil Young, The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo, while Loyle Carner, Charli XCX and The Prodigy top the bill on the Other Stage. Rod Stewart is set for the Legends Slot on Sunday.
Other major acts scheduled include Biffy Clyro, Lucy Dacus, Future Islands, St. Vincent, Wet Leg, Wolf Alice, The Libertines, RAYE, Doechii, and Turnstile. Whether Chappell Roan ends up joining them under a secret name remains to be seen.
