Fans of 'Harry Wild' are in for a festive treat this year as the hit Acorn TV crime drama releases its first-ever Christmas special. The feature-length episode, set to premiere on 24th November, serves as both a standalone holiday mystery and the thrilling conclusion to season 4.

What's 'Harry Wild' About?

In the upcoming special, 'Harry Wild' (played by Jane Seymour) and her crime-solving partner Fergus (Rohan Nedd) attend the wedding of Vicky (Danielle Ryan) and Corman (Muiris Crowley). What begins as a joyful celebration inside a grand castle quickly turns deadly when an assassin strikes, forcing the duo to spring into action. As chaos erupts, Harry and Fergus must race against time to uncover the culprit before more lives are at risk.

The trailer offers a glimpse of a lighter side to Harry before danger strikes, as she expresses excitement about the wedding festivities and the luxurious castle stay—a rare display of cheer from the sharp-witted former professor.

'Harry Wild' follows retired literature professor Harriet "Harry" Wild, who partners with young investigator Fergus to solve mysterious crimes.

Jane Seymour, now 74, has shared in interviews that she initially didn't expect to return to television after her iconic role in 'Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman.' However, reading the 'Harry Wild' script changed her mind. She was drawn to the originality of the story, its intelligent writing, and the blend of mystery with humour and heart—a balance she described as "soft crime" that remains gripping without losing charm.

The Emmy-winning actress has also expressed her fondness for the genre, noting that she enjoys stories that provide a clear beginning, middle, and end, combined with quirky and complex characters that make every case intriguing.
