Isabela Ferrer, who played Blake Lively's character in ‘It Ends With Us’ when she was younger, has accused Baldoni of bullying and compelling her through the summons and related actions. Sanford Michelman, Ferrer's attorney, claims that Ferrer is fending off intimidation attempts and that Baldoni utilized financial leverage to sway her legal response.

Baldoni's legal team, on the other hand, has emphasized Ferrer's text conversations in which she called him a 'wonderful director,' claiming that he made her debut movie a 'pleasant, safe space.' They contend that these confirmations back up his claim that the lawsuit was a valid legal request rather than a harassment technique.
Strategic Legal Maneuvers Ahead of March 2026 Showdown
The dispute around Ferrer's inquiry is intertwined with the larger, well-publicized court case involving Blake Lively and Baldoni. Baldoni counter-sued for $400 million after Lively sued him for sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign; the countersuits were dropped in June. Whether Ferrer should be forced to testify or produce documents is at the heart of the current disagreement; Baldoni's side is even asking for 'alternative service' of the subpoena after traditional delivery allegedly failed.

Ferrer's lawyers have requested the court to punish his squad for alleged harassment and to reject Baldoni's motion altogether. In response, Baldoni's attorneys have asked the court to forbid the use of Ferrer's correspondence or testimony since she want to stay out of the case.
The legal negotiation between the two sides will get deeper when the matter goes to a big trial in March 2026.
