Kourtney Surprised Travis With a Spine-Chilling Halloween Setup Inspired by 'The Black Phone 2'

Kourtney Kardashian's dramatic flair has always been on full display during Halloween, but this year she went above and beyond when she led her husband Travis Barker home from a movie date in which they were watching 'The Black Phone 2,' only to reveal that the outside of their California home had been turned into a full-fledged scare zone. The surprise, which was captured on her Instagram Stories, left fans stunned by the setup’s boldness and fun.

Haunted Homecoming: The 'Black Phone 2' Experience

In order to transform the front of their house into a terrifying scene from 'The Black Phone 2,' replete with fog, fake blood, a phone booth, and a costumed actor portraying Finn, Kourtney made arrangements with Universal Studios. A fear actor yelled orders like "Get out of the car" as Travis' vehicle arrived. "Please hurry, he's on his way. Respond to the phone!"— as Kourtney recorded each response.

A van held missing-person posters with her family names on them, masked actors played the movie's antagonist 'The Grabber,' and one actor pulled a body bag out of the car in a dramatic gesture. Someone could then be seen running up to Travis' car window as he rolled it down and Kourtney approached the car. "Go answer the phone!" Kourtney said as Travis laughed and told the camera, "Oh my God! You gotta let me out of the car." Their son Landon also filmed bits of the reveal, making it a family spectacle.

Kourtney has long been known as the "Queen of Halloween," decorating her house with pumpkins, skeletons, dramatic displays, and spooky couple costumes with Travis. This year, she upped the ante by tying the scare to one of their recent movie choices. The prank highlights her love of theatrical holidays and her delight in surprising Travis, who took it all in stride, laughing, frightened, and playing along as she guided him through the setup.
