The voice artists of 'KPop Demon Hunters' made a surprise live appearance on SNL, performing their hit 'Golden.' The cameo came during SNL's season 51 premiere, which also spoofed the film's plot in a brunch themed sketch starring Bad Bunny.

With an unexpected crossover that left viewers talking, Saturday Night Live's 51st season began with more than just chuckles. The real-life voices of the K-pop girl trio Huntr/x from the popular Netflix animated movie 'KPop Demon Hunters' made an unexpected live appearance during a parody of the film.

The audience was taken aback when singers EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami performed a portion of their hit song 'Golden' in the middle of a sketch, fusing humour with live music in a way that only 'Saturday Night Live' can do. Fans of both worlds were pleased by the event, which represented a unique fusion of cartoon fandom and live television excitement. 

When Animation Meets Live TV: Surprise Cameo at SNL

The singing voices of ‘KPop Demon Hunters' made an unexpected live debut during a spoof mocking the Netflix phenomenon on Saturday Night Live's season 51 premiere on 4th October. A scene where some friends are catching up and one of them (Bad Bunny's character) is obsessed with 'KPop Demon Hunters' was constructed for the episode, which was hosted by Bad Bunny.

In a humorous turn of events, Bowen Yang, disguised as the demon Jinu, shows up and demands souls. Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, the voices behind the female group Huntr/x in the movie, suddenly appeared on stage and sang a little bit of 'Golden.'

With chart-topping songs, sing-along theater events, and active fan interaction, 'KPop Demon Hunters' has continued to grow its audience since its debut. Another step in integrating these animated characters into live settings is the SNL cameo. In addition, the three will shortly make their first official broadcast appearance when they play 'Golden' in its entirety live on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.'
