Natalie Portman once took a small keepsake from the set of the 'Star Wars' prequel trilogy—but she later lost it.

Portman, who played Padmé Amidala in all three prequel films, revealed that she kept a lock of Anakin Skywalker's hair as a souvenir. Anakin was portrayed by Hayden Christensen. Speaking on 'The Drew Barrymore Show,' she explained that the famous braid worn by Anakin was actually a clip-in hair extension.

She described the braid as iconic, but admitted there was one problem—she no longer knows where it is. She confessed that she took it from the set and eventually lost it.

Hayden Christensen's Keepsake From 'Star Wars' Set

Christensen has admitted he also took a piece of the set home. During an appearance at Fan Expo New Orleans, he joked that the braid seen in 'Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith' was not even his real hair.

He revealed that he kept a few of Padmé's small braids from 'Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones,' along with a few other small props. One of the bigger items he managed to take was a lightsaber. After filming in Australia, he packaged it up and shipped it home by labelling it as a didgeridoo so it could be sent back to Canada without raising suspicion.

Unlike her co-star, Natalie Portman does not appear to have taken any larger props from the set, which may have spared her the challenge of secretly transporting a lightsaber across the world.
