Romance took centre stage at the 2026 BAFTA Awards as Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams made their first official red carpet appearance as a couple.
The pair turned the star-studded ceremony into a stylish date night when they arrived together at London's Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre on 22nd February. It marked a major milestone in their relationship, as they stepped out publicly as a couple for the first time at such a high-profile event.
Gracie Abrams And Paul Mescal's Date Night Look
Gracie Abrams, 26, looked elegant in a black gown adorned with floral detailing. She styled her hair in a sleek, slicked-back look, tucking part of it neatly behind her ear. Paul Mescal, 29, opted for a classic black suit paired with a white dress shirt worn slightly unbuttoned for a relaxed touch. He is nominated for his portrayal of William Shakespeare in 'Hamnet.'

The couple have been linked since June 2024, when they were first spotted together. Their BAFTA appearance comes about a month after they enjoyed a date night following the 2026 Golden Globe Awards. After the ceremony, they were seen heading to Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles to celebrate. Mescal's film 'Hamnet' had a big night, winning Best Motion Picture (Drama), while his co-star Jessie Buckley took home Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture Drama.

Despite the public interest, Mescal has remained protective of his personal life. In a September interview with Rolling Stone, he shared that while he does have an explanation for taking their relationship public, it is deeply personal and precious to him. He emphasised that he wants to protect that part of his life and keep it private.
