Selena Gomez is opening up about how she handles the moments when life feels heavy.

During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the Rare Impact Fund Benefit in Los Angeles on 29th October, the 'Only Murders in the Building' star offered heartfelt advice on self-care and staying grounded.

Selena Gomez Shares Views on Coping with Bad Days

The 33-year-old singer and entrepreneur explained that not every day is perfect—and that it's important to allow space for emotions before finding ways to reset. For Gomez, letting herself feel what she needs to feel, followed by something that brings laughter or lightness, is key to moving forward.

She shared that she doesn't have a secret formula but knows what works best for her personally. When she’s struggling, she prefers to spend time with one close friend, talk to her therapist, and surround herself with people who bring comfort and perspective.

The Rare Beauty founder's words fit perfectly with the mission of her Rare Impact Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to support youth mental health programs worldwide. The event, hosted at NYA Studios West, featured performances from The Marías and Laufey and was emceed by late-night host Jimmy Kimmel.

Selena Gomez attended the event alongside her husband, music producer Benny Blanco, whom she married in September in Santa Barbara, California. The couple appeared relaxed and radiant as they supported the initiative that has become one of Gomez's most meaningful causes.
